ethereal exhibition
The exhibition “Ethereal” emerges from a profound reflection on the transitory nature of existence and the inevitable erosion of time. In this collection, Felipe Peña explores the fragility of memory and the anguish that arises from accepting that nothing we build is destined to endure. The artworks act as vestiges of what fades away; they are traces of a past struggling not to be forgotten, even though the final destiny of all matter is dissolution.

The conceptual core lies in the frustration of the creative process as a defense mechanism. Faced with the void left by what is lost, the artist is forced to create anew in order to survive.
This is not a celebratory creation, but a vital necessity to generate something new upon the ashes of the old. The canvas becomes a battlefield where the lightness of forms represents that yearning for permanence in a world that constantly slips through one’s fingers.
