Technique & Materiality: Presented in a horizontal format (32 x 23 cm), Embers offers a panoramic view of thermal energy. The combination of acrylic and plaster on canvas generates a “tide” of heat flowing across the canvas. The plaster encapsulates pigments that seem to radiate light from within, ensuring the painting appears to be in a state of perpetual incandescence, like a river of lava finding its limit.
Philosophy & Future Vision: Embers is the emotional core of the series. It represents the beauty of what remains, the Pop glow of a sunset over hot rocks. It challenges the viewer to find vitality in what seems to be extinguishing. Its future projection is that of a “Living Texture,” a work that dynamically activates the space through its relief and horizontal format.
